{"id":3397,"date":"2025-01-29T13:22:22","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T12:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jaattlaget.com\/en\/?p=3397"},"modified":"2025-01-30T14:30:58","modified_gmt":"2025-01-30T13:30:58","slug":"unique-footage-from-resolute-1926","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jaattlaget.com\/en\/2025\/01\/29\/unique-footage-from-resolute-1926\/","title":{"rendered":"Unique footage from &#8220;Resolute&#8221;, 1926"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Tysnes yacht sailor museum researcher Knut Arne Gr\u00f8teide has spent numerous hours surveying yacht sailors from Tysnes, accidentally leading him to a video clip from a yacht known to many a Tysnesing, the &#8220;Resolute&#8221;, shot in 1926.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The clip is an amateur film of a cruise taken by a group of friends or family members on board Nathanael Herreshoff&#8217;s &#8220;Resolute&#8221;, from Mattapoisett, Massachusetts to Newport, Rhode Island, circa 1926, from a longer film containing footage of sailing, tennis, and other activities at Mattapoisett Yacht Club in 1926.
